"ELIT Co." (Electrochemical power sources). "ELIT Co." was founded in 1990 as an independent scientific and industrial enterprise named PULSAR. PULSAR Company operated out of the facilities of "Accumulator" plant, the largest battery manufacturer in Russia. In 1993 PULSAR was renamed "ELIT Stock Co.", and the company moved into private business. The main activity of "ELIT Co." is development and production of supercapacitors.The company's average annual revenue is approximately US$ 1, 000, 000.

     ELIT JSC became an Award Winner of National competition "Gold Mercury" in a nomination of "The best exporter-company in the field of international innovative co-operation" in 2003. Several times ELIT products won the prize "The best 100 products of Russia". In 2003 this prize was taken by capacitor 14PP-0,5/0,015 for Car Audio systems, in 2004 - ESS-2200 for starting of locomotives.
