History background.

Over the past twenty years output power of car-audio systems has increased from tens to thousands of watts. There is an obvious tendency of growing application of low frequency sound during developing audio programs with the unchangeable on-board voltage - 12 V.

Lead-Acid batteries applied in car building have rather high energy storage, but electrochemical reactions which take place on the electrodes with the limited speed cause slow reaction to powerful short-termed loads emerging during amplifier's operation. Their internal resistance does not let apply resulting discharge currents. During amplifier operating with a standard battery, on-board voltage drops immediately, that influences quality of audio program reproduction: distortion of low frequencies, non-stable volume of reproduction.

Traditionally this problem was solved by means of additional installation of aluminum capacitors units in power circuit of car-audio amplifier system.

Nowadays these capacitors cannot guarantee high quality operation of modern and powerful amplifiers (for instance of 1000W) with normal physical dimensions and technical performances.

Electrochemical capacitors with double electric layer, so called "Supercapacitors" with higher specific characteristics than usual Aluminium capacitors have, have already occupied a significant share on car-audio systems market in a number of countries.

Advantages of ELIT capacitors.

It's commonly known the longer is the pulse (quantity of overtones), the brighter is the beauty of deep timbre of low frequency. For frequencies lower than 50 Hz it's always desirable to prolong the sound till and more than 100 milliseconds at the saving of the fixed hearing power.
